In conversation with Winnipeg Jets’ Assistant Coach Jamie Kompon

However, a long Stanley Cup-winning NHL career was never a given. Kompon first pursued  a professional career, moving to Germany and competing in the ECHL. He eventually gave up his playing career to put his McGill education degree to use to teach high school mathematics at Loyola high school. He combined this with coaching the McGill Redmen hockey team–first as an assistant, then as co-head coach.

In conversation with NFL Director of Football Development Samantha Rapoport

Rapoport, a McGill alumni, is the NFL Director of Football Development, a position tasked with developing the game in order to connect qualified people with NFL jobs. Born in Vancouver, Rapoport isn’t a typical candidate for a high ranking position within the league. Her position was previously occupied by former Baltimore Raven Matt Birk.

McGill stalls, split regular season with Sherbrooke

McGill Redmen football’s (2-2) offence stalled in a 20-11 defeat to the Sherbrooke Vert et Or (2-2), on a blustery Sept. 24 day at McGill’s Molson Stadium. It was a disappointing loss for the Redmen, who led the Vert et Or for the first three quarters of the game. Sherbrooke, however, capitalized on McGill’s inability to find the endzone after the first quarter, stringing together some impressive fourth-quarter drives to put the game out of reach for the home team.
